How to Harden Off Cabbage

Begin 7–10 days before transplanting. Gradually expose seedlings to outdoor conditions:

  • Day 1–2: 2–3 hours of shade
  • Day 3–4: 4–5 hours sun, protected from wind
  • Day 5–7: Full sun, leave out overnight if no frost expected

Water regularly and avoid stress during this transition.
